Jo-Ann Fabrics Coupon Event
I got an email today from Jo-Ann Fabrics, they are having a "Coupon Commotion Week" both in the store and online, September 20-26. Here are the coupons listed in the email:
- 40% off any regular-priced Notions item
- 40% off any regular-priced Fabric
- 40% off any regular-priced craft, floral or framing
- 40% off any regular-priced item
- 50% off any regular-priced item
- 50% off your custom framing order
I am planning on attending a "Scrapping Weekend Getaway" with my sister-in-law in October (maybe I can actually start on that scrapbook from when Henry was BORN! LOL) so perhaps I'll take advantage of that 50% off item and get something cheap and nifty for the weekend!
There is a pretty good chance these coupons will also be available in-store - usually their flyers are right by the entrance.
If anyone reading this would like the online codes, just let me know and I'll send them your way!

Menu Plan Monday
From the many blogs I read, I have noticed a good number of the writers participate in OrgJunkie's Menu Plan Monday. Since I already menu plan, I thought why not join in on the fun and make Monday my official day to share with you? It's always fun to share meals and read others meal ideas to expand my horizons a bit--perhaps you'll find a new meal to expand your family's array of dishes!
Here are the dishes I have set for this week...I usually don't apply them to a certain day:
- Tuesday night we do have a set meal...we are having friends over for a church conference being broadcast from Michigan, so we'll take advantage of Godfather's Pizza's "Top it Tuesday" deal and buy a couple Jumbo size pizza's-up to 5 toppings-for $12.99. We have chips for a side, and I'll make cookies (or if I don't have time, we'll do Snack Pack pudding!) for dessert.
- Wednesday night, to avoid the "quick throw something together and scarf it down before church" rush: Pork and potatoes in the crock pot, veggies (and possibly biscuits)
- Spaghetti with chicken, salad, veggie
- Turkey burgers and hot dogs on the grill, baked fries, corn on the cob
- Chicken stirfry, rice
