Free Sun Crystals Sweetener

Click --> HERE <-- to request a free sample of this all-natural sweetener.

I haven't tried this one yet.  I was a die-hard Splenda gal until I recently found Truvia.  It's all natural, tasty and cheaper than Splenda.  I likee.

I'm curious about this Sun Crystals, as I'm starting to see coupons for it around, but I haven't purchased it yet, this is the perfect way to try!

And this one also has a printable coupon - score!

Thanks again to Chris for the link

Free Nescafe Tasters Choice Sample Pack

Click --> HERE <-- to register for 5 Nescafe Taster's Choice gourmet single-serve coffee packs.

They server Nescafe in Disney World.  To be kind...I think it's awful.  I'm a tad of a coffee snob though.

However, flavored might be different.  It's worth a shot!

And if Nescafe IS your thing, there are a couple coupons to print on their site too!

Too bad Henry is 2 years old.  Do you really think they would not allow him to participate?  I'm not in it for the goodies/freebies, I just know he'd have a ball!

Free Burger and Fries from Denny's

Denny's has scoured the nation (and perhaps, beyond?) for the best burger, and have found the secret.  In celebration, you can now get a FREE "Better Burger" AND fries, wyb a "Better Burger" and fries!

I know there isn't one in Hutchinson, but in case you happen to be in the Cities - this would make for a very cheap meal, and the coupon doesn't expire until November 23.  I love me a good burger, so this just might get used in our household!

Print as many as you would like, but you can only use on per visit.

Click --> HERE <-- for the coupon.

$1.50 Printable on Tide Stain Release

This is a pretty new product, right around $3.50 for the small bag, 10 count, at the Hutch Target.

When you have a REALLY soiled load of clothing, you add one of these little packets to the wash and it is a "booster" to get rid of the stains.

I tried this because I had a $1.50 coupon, stacked with a $1.00 Target coupon, otherwise, I wouldn't have ever bothered.  I tried it for the first time last week when washing Henry's very stained high chair cover.

It came out looking like new!

It will be nice to have a bag of these on hand this summer for grass stains and such with a little boy. :)

WCI Thrift Shop

Today I had the opportunity to finally scope out the new thrift store in town.  It is a "West Central Industries" business, which means, (pulled from their website):

We provide employment training for hard working people who have disabilities, and then connect them with businesses in West Central Minnesota who need workers. We work with people from nine counties and have people working in over 113 businesses.

Good cause!

Good thrift shop!!!

I'm selective about my thrift shops.  I'll go into any of them, but am often very disappointed due to the price tags.  This is a TRUE THRIFT SHOP!  The prices were very low.  I purchased a brand new shirt for $2, a Pluto stuffed animal (tag still on) for a quarter for Henry, and a 1970's Walt Disney World book for another $0.25.  The store is chock full of vintage furniture and accessories.  I found a very awesome green chair for only $4!  I very much want(ed) it, but honestly do not have a spot.  There were crazy cool old-style kitchen chairs with chrome legs for a buck a piece!  A neat flowered plate and bowl for $2.  Really nutsy (and some just plain hideous) artwork, all priced around a buck or less.  The most expensive thing I saw was the $4 chair.

And they have sales.  Everyday it's something different.  Wednesday's Seniors get 50% off.

Nothing is clean and fancy, but it's a real thrift shop with real thrift shop prices.  I will be back!

Baby Einstein DVDs Exchange / Return

Do you have Baby Einstein DVDs that were purchased between June 5, 2004 and September 9, 2009?  Were you pleased with the product?

If you answered yes to the first question, and no to the second - you can now exchange the DVD for a Baby Einstein book or music CD, OR, return it for $15.99 (limit 4 per household).

Apparently, Baby Einstein has gotten some recent heat claiming that their DVDs improve a baby's intelligence.  However, the APA does not recommend any "screen time" for kids under the age of 2.  So, to avoid the lawsuit, Disney has started this "DVD Guarantee" program.

Before Henry was born, I was very excited about getting him a couple of these DVDs.  Not because I thought they increased intelligence, but because I have seen other kids just LOVE them.  I purchased one about sign language, because it is something I wanted him to learn.  Well....I was disappointed.  He never wanted to watch it and didn't like it.  I didn't expect much of an attention span at a young age, but even has he's gotten older, he doesn't like it (and he already knows his signs from me teaching them to him directly!).  So, I think I will be returning this DVD for the $15.99.  We also have a music CD that he isn't all too keen on!

I wish you could just simply take this into the store for an exchange; however, there is a form to fill out, mailing, etc.  Click --> HERE <-- for the steps to take, and the form to fill out, for the exchange.

$2 Halloween Costumes from Old Navy

Old Navy is having a sale on October 30 and 31.  All their Halloween costumes will be just $2!

Perhaps I will be making a day trip into St. Cloud on the 30th!  I'm sure the selection will be very picked over, but who knows...!!

Thanks to $30 Weekly Grocery Challenge for the heads-up!

Printable coupon - $5/10 SmartOnes

Click --> HERE <-- for a $5 off coupon wyb 10 SmartOnes.  SmartOnes are frozen meals/desserts put out by WeightWatchers.  I've had several and most have been very tasty!  The desserts are wonderful.  These go on sale pretty often at Target, last sale I believe was for $1.88 each, so with a coupon they would become $1.38 each.

Thanks Minnesota Coupon Adventure!

Target Deals

I ran over to Target this morning and found some great bargains!

Here is my take-away:

1 Airwick Scented Oil fragrance kit
1 spray bottle of Mr. Clean
1 refill bottle of Mr. Clean
2 2-pks of Mr. Clean Erasers
3 2-pks of Fiber One bars
1 bag of frozen edamame
1 bag of frozen blueberreis
1 bag of frozen raspberries
4 dozen eggs
1 tube of Crest with Scope toothpaste (free travel sized Scope included)

My OOP was $14.10 (pre-tax)
Around $8 was just for the 3 frozen bagged items!

Today's trip really made me realize even more that printing, and holding onto, any coupon you think you might use is worth it!  I normally would not buy the Airwick stuff, but for $0.99 it's nice to have that lovely fragrance in my home.  Same with the Crest toothpaste - we normally don't purchase this brand, but for $0.74 it is a GREAT deal.  I plan to give this away for a ministry that is asking for toiletries and things right now.  Just about anyone can afford to give for $0.74!

Here were my favorite deals:
$4.99 Airwick Scented Oil iMotion Starters
$4.00 this was a newspaper insert, but I don't have notes as to which one!
Final price, $0.99

$0.48 2 pack Fiber One Oats & Chocolate bars
$0.40 9/13 SS
$0.40 10/4 SS
$0.40 printable that is no longer available
Final price, $0.08!
These are found on an end-cap along the coolers.  Even if you don't have the coupons, if you purchase 3 boxes, that is 6 bars for $1.44, which is a least a dollar less than a 5 bar box in the main aisle!

Mr. Clean stuff - this is complicated:
Buy:
2 boxes of Mr. Clean Erasers (I just chose the cheapest ones)
1 spray bottle of Mr. Clean with Febreeze
1 refill bottle of Mr. Clean with Febreeze
Used:
For Erasers:
BOGO Mr. Clean Erasers from 9/27 PG
Used $0.75 Target coupon from coupons around neck of spray bottle Mr. Clean
(I happened to have 2 of these from a previous purchase)
Use $0.75 from Home Made Simple
Spray:
Buy spray get refill free from 9/27 PG
$0.75 from Home Made Simple
Total was $3.33 for all 4 items, about $0.83 per item.

$1.74 Crest Toothpaste
$1.00 again, from a newspaper insert, but I don't have notes as to which one!
Final price, $0.74
This was also on a Clearance end cap, near the toilet paper.

$1.09 dozen eggs
I had a raincheck from a few weeks ago when eggs were on sale
Used BOGO coupon
Final price, $2.18 for 4 dozen eggs or about $0.55 each.

Pocket Your Dollars has an excellent Target write up that I based my shopping list off of.  I found that a few things varied in price; and the tiny Hutch Target doesn't carry all the items either.

Rumor in blog land is that the Target Toy Coupon book should be available.  This coupon book is FULL of toy coupons, all Target coupons - so they can be stacked with Manufacturer!  I haven't seen it yet (forgot to ask this morning), but word is the coupons expire the day before Black Friday, and are available now at the Customer Service Desk.

Our trip to the A Maze'n Farmyard

As you know, Saturday we went to the A Maze'n Farmyard.  We were there for about 2.5 hours and didn't even get to do everything-there is a ton!  The kids all had a blast, and so did all the adults.

It's about an hour drive from Hutchinson, and $6.95 for ages 3+.  That can get to be very expensive, very quickly - but if you have a warm day, you could easily be there for four hours or more.  Our day started out very cool, but warmed up nicely.

Despite grass being everywhere, the goats eagerly ate it out of our hands

Yes, that's my son, kissing a goat.  Gotta pick your battles.

This baby goat was soooo teeny and cute.  The Momma was very protective and would literally stare anyone down that looked at the baby!

Along with grass, goats also like red knit scarves.

 And cameras.

The bounce house lasted for approximately 3.9 seconds.  More than last time where he wouldn't go past the front door though.

This cat really liked my Father-in-Law!

Henry and cousin playing with a farm set.

His first pony ride!  He loved the first lap, then on the second one he decided he was done.

 Christmas card material.

Just the day before our trip, I was teaching Henry about camels having a hump on their backs, and then he got to see one up close and personal!

 My boys.

That's why they call it the A MAZE'N Farmyard.

You had to go through the maze and find all 5 towers, it took quite a while!

Uncle Pete helping Henry up the stairs.

 That was hard work!

We didn't get a chance to go on the tractor ride. :(

But we hit the slide twice!  Once with Da Da....

 Once with Mommy!

And we did get to ride the choo-choo.

Which was really a tractor outfitted as a train.  Pretty clever!

He was hungry when we got in the car and munched on Kix for about 5 minutes straight.  Suddenly the crunching stopped and this is what we saw.  Hand still in the bag, but just can't stay awake...

At the restaurant.  Drool and all!

We came home and made our pumpkin, which was a complete thrill to Henry.  Everyday since he likes to go visit with his pumpkin.

It was a great day!
